A warming herbal salve to help relax tired muscles after a hard days work
This salve is a combination of 4 herbs that are all recognized for their abilities to help reduce inflammation in tissues when applied topically. A very warming salve thanks to a large dose of cayenne powder, this salve is great during the fall, winter and spring when our muscles are exposed to cold while we enjoy the great outdoors or engage in physical labor while the cold winds are blowing. This is an awesome salve to help with sore muscles after work, low back pain, joint pain, arthritic joints and other chronic pain patterns. Our newest batch is much warmer than the previous batch, so it's recommended to test a small area before slathering it on!!

Ingredients always organic or wildcrafted: olive oil, coconut oil, beeswax, ground ginger, arnica montana flowers, cayenne powder, turmeric powder.
To use massage a small amount into sore + achy muscles or joints. This salve can be used daily for 1-2 weeks for more chronic pain conditions. If you experience any discomfort please discontinue use immediately.
Do not use on open wounds or cuts, face, mucous membranes or if pregnant. WASH HANDS THOROUGHLY AFTER APPLICATION!! Residual cayenne will cause a burning sensation on mucous membranes (eyes, nose, ears, lips, genitals)!!
// a r n i c a : arnica montana is commonly used to help reduce inflammation and is wonderful for sore muscles, sprains, bruises, and moving blood so that injuries (small or large) can heal more fully. Arnica has a long history of use in Europe and among Native Americans in Alaska and British Columbia.
// c a y e n n e : cayenne powder is also considered to be anti-inflammatory and contains capsaicin, which is what makes your mouth so tender. Capsaicin works to help alleveiate pain because of it's ability to block a neurotransmiter that transmits pain signals to the CNS; topically cayenne can be helpful for a variety of pain patterns from muscle pain to menstrual cramps.
// g i n g e r : ginger, or gan jiang, is one of my favorite topical herbs for warming the muscles and increasing circulation. Ginger is also considered an anti-inflammtory herb and also increases circulation when applied topically to bring new blood to an area and assist in the healing process.
// t u r m e r i c : turmeric is known as jiang huang in Chinese herbalism and is commonly used to move blood and dispel stasis. These qualities help turmeric reduce inflammation in response to trauma.
