A supportive oil for women's monthly cycle
This formulation is a blend of herbs and essential oils that promote the movement of blood to unblock stagnation, alleviate pain and relax and warm tissues to help provide relief during pre-menstrual and menstrual discomfort. Monthly Moon supports movement within our reproductive system to help reduce discomfort associated with PMS and can be used in conjunction with gua sha as an herbal oil to augment it's actions when used for dysmenorrhea.
Three penetrating oils were infused with herbs to move blood (safflower and rose), alleviate pain (frankincense and myrrh), and warm the tissues (mugwort, pinon resin and ginger). Essential oils of mugwort and ginger were added to augment the warming and moving functions, clary sage to help relax the tissues and lavender and rose to calm our systems.
Often cramps are due to cold stagnation. When cold stagnates in the uterus or lower burner it causes contraction which in turn can cause pain during our monthly cycle when our lining naturally sheds. While this roll-on isn't a fix it for everyone, it does provide a gentle and nourishing option to use in conjunction with other therapies to address the underlying cause of your menstrual pain.
Monthly Moon smells absolutely divine and is an aromatic treat every time you apply it to your low back or belly!! The way I like to use this formulation is to roll it on my low back and low abdomen when I start to feel a bit crampy. Sometimes I rub it in more, sometimes not. If you try this formulation I hope it provides you with the relief I've received from using it! I think it's truly magical.
